One Flesh 05:03
In the quiet place With sweet regard For nothing else But the fear of God There we sing And play our songs A sweet cascade Of voices strong Through tides of tears And floods of war We fight our fears And wage our law In shadowlands And royal fields On castle walls And broken dreams One flesh, one skin One blood, one kin Yet death engraved His sullen mark On weary souls To spread the dark In shadowlands And royal fields On castle walls And broken dreams But our songs will play And voices sing One flesh, one skin One blood, one kin One flesh, one skin One blood, one kin One flesh, one skin One blood, one kin

I am your pride and your joy A prince of the Almighty King I will not be pushed aside No, I will not be forced to hide For you have lifted me high Above every on-going fire And today I will stand A new kind of man Always affirmed and desired Through the fire and the flame I am carved in your name Made in magnificence Beauty and might Send the shadows in flight I’m a man of the promised light So let’s take a stand with our sisters Bringing truth and delight to the table May there be no more shame No more guilt, no more pain No, let justice roll down like the rain Cos she is more than a lover And more than your mother She’s a fighter, a poet, a queen A fountain of knowledge And a wellspring of wisdom So come down and dance in the stream Through the fire and the flame We're carved in your name Made in magnificence Beauty and might Send our shadows to flight ‘Cos we're children of the light Through the fire and the flame I am carved in your name Made in magnificence Beauty and might Send the shadows in flight I’m a man of the promised light Through the fire and the flame We are carved in your name Made in magnificence Beauty and might Send our shadows to flight ‘Cos we're children of the light

Fill Me Up 05:50
I worked and prayed every day But nothing came - it stayed the same I worked and prayed every day But nothing gave - it stayed the same I came away with little faith A mustard seed in need of rain I danced and praised, I even prayed But nothing changes, just blood and rain So is it your ambition to alleviate attrition Or do you make it rain to laugh at our condition? So fill me up, Fill me up with your love Give it up Give it up to above Fill me up, Fill me up with your love Give it up Give it up to above I went to church and tried to sing The empty songs injustice brings I opened up the holy book I thought it best I take a look I thought it best I take a look But every verse I read Felt like a curse upon my head An echo of misogyny A promise of homogeny Fill me up, Fill me up with your love Give it up Give it up to above Fill me up, Fill me up with your love Give it up Give it up to above

White Lies 05:34
Give me something, something real I'm sick of liars, liars steal They steal culture, they lack in substance And give you fire, fire as credence So take your credence and start a fire Burn a forest to take you higher Breathe the smoke and hold a mirror From the ashes you birthed a killer White lies, if only I could choose White lies, I wouldn't have to use White lies, are all you see as true But white lives, matter more to you Iron bodies, fists of steel Burning crosses as they kneel Sovereign leaders, convicted felons Grip the wheel and fire up the canons Tell me baby, don't you recognise the motion Beat the crosses into spears you have stolen Push your doctrine lest you leave it unspoken You really think that your outside of this notion White lies, if only I could choose White lies, I wouldn't have to use White lies, are all you see as true But white lives, matter more to you White lies, if only I could choose White lies, I wouldn't have to use White lies, are all you see as true But white lives, matter more to you

Mary 05:19
Mary, Mary, Mary How can we ignore Mary, Mary, Mary What’s been done before Who was in the garden? Adam and a whore? Who was in the garden? A rib or something more? Mary, Mary, Mary Tell us what you saw Mary, Mary, Mary Madonna, virgin, Whore Mary, Mary, Mary Tell us what you wore Mary, Mary, Mary Madonna, virgin, Whore Who was in the garden When Jesus came before? Mary’s in the garden Knocking on the door Mary, Mary, Mary Tell us what you saw Mary, Mary, Mary Madonna, virgin, Whore Mary, Mary, Mary Tell us what you wore Mary, Mary, Mary Madonna, virgin, Whore Mary, Mary, Mary Shackled to the floor Mary, Mary, Mary Madonna, virgin, whore Mary, Mary, Mary Shackled to the floor Mary, Mary, Mary Madonna, virgin, whore Shackled to the floor Madonna, virgin, whore Shackled to the floor

Moonlight drips through the glass And lingers on my window pane Rainbow’s come and said it’s last Now’s the time for rain I’m haunted by my brittle mind As tricks of light deceive Help me leave my past behind Give me space to breathe Sweet breath accept my lungs Do not deny my crying tongue Give me love, give me love Give me love to breathe Sweet breath accept my lungs Do not deny my crying tongue Give me love, give me love Give me love to breathe Light bulbs flick all night As shadows kiss the wall Wild wind kicks a bite As the house begins to fall Light bulbs flick all the night As shadows kiss the wall Wild wind kicks a bite As the house begins to fall Hold me close I know you’re here Screaming endless whispers Hold me close I know you’re near Just beyond my reach Hold me close I know you’re here Screaming endless whispers Hold me close I know you’re near Just beyond my reach Would you hold me? Would you hold me tonight? Would you hold me? Would you hold me in your arms? Cos I’m screaming Cos I’m screaming Cos I’m screaming Endless Whispers Cos I’m screaming Cos I’m screaming Cos I’m screaming Endless Whispers Sweet breath accept my lungs Do not deny my crying tongue Give me love, give me love Give me love to breathe Sweet breath accept my lungs Do not deny my crying tongue Give me love, give me love Give me love to breathe Hold me close I know you’re here Screaming endless whispers Hold me close I know you’re near Just beyond my reach Hold me close I know you’re here Screaming endless whispers Hold me close I know you’re near Just beyond my reach

Hail is falling And the lightning strikes The sun is sinking As the day turns to night Hail is falling And the lightning strikes The sun is sinking As the day turns to night Hail is falling And the lightning strikes The sun is missing As we pray for the light Hail is falling And the lightning strikes God is weeping As we dance to the night Hail is falling And the lightning strikes The sun is sinking As the day turns to night Hail is falling And the lightning strikes The sun is missing As we pray for the light Hail is falling And the lightning strikes The sun is sinking As the day turns to night Hail is falling And the lightning strikes God is weeping As we dance to the night

about

Fallow /ˈfaləʊ/

adjective
(of farmland) ploughed and harrowed but left for a period without being sown in order to restore its fertility.

---

Today I walk on fallowed ground
Scorched and bruised till kingdoms come
My soul in wake for just a sound
To beckon in that sacred hum
Of work to be done

I may try
(Lord, don't we try)
But when my heart was rushed to beat
I lost the rhythm and felt the heat
Of hell's burning greed

So sit me down and ask me when
Did my soul become so high
That I dare not rest?

Sit you down and ask when
Did your soul become so high
That you dare not rest?

Today we walk on hallowed ground
Fallowed earth by Kingdom come
Now in rest without a sound
To beckon in that sacred hum
Of rest to be done

I'm a one-man-band live-looping 'extraordinaire' from Sheffield, U.K. inspired by stints in Ecuador and Peru and the sounds of cumbia and artists like Nicola Cruz and Rodrigo Gallardo. I blend various genres (acoustic pop/folk, math rock, worldbeat) to create a rhythmic and looped acoustic sound; fused with an angst-ridden call to reflect, debate, and lament upon emotional fragility, religious belief amidst doubt, and humanity’s destructive tendencies.

Fallow is my debut album which I have produced independently during the various lockdowns in the U.K. in between furlough, working for a local youth work charity, and getting married (my wife plays flute on the last track)! The album is a collection of deeply personal songs and features vibrant artwork I have created using iconoclastic imagery atop a hand-made batik of a tranquil mustard tree.

Three singles have already been released from the album, One Flesh, Made in Magnificence, and Fill Me Up. These have resulted in airplay on BBC Radio Sheffield and Sheffield Live, along with features in Northern music blogs, Analogue Trash and RGM, the latter of which described the latest single, Fill Me Up, as ‘incredibly catchy…not just limited to a guitar and a loop pedal, one-man-band Condor layers vocals and percussion to create a fuller sound. If you like Jack Johnson and Xavier Rudd – you’ll love this.’

Other highlights on the album include Lament for Atahualpa - an adaption from an Incan elegiac lament composed upon Atahualpa’s death in 1533; and White Lies - a Rage Against the Machine inspired country-cum-desert rock anti-ballad about the burning of the Amazon, colonial atrocities, and the downright lies and hatred spread through Trumpism.

Since the release of my debut EP, Animal Locomotion, in 2018, I've performed at Yellow Arch Studios, a Pecha Kucha night, collaborated with global feminist hip-hop venture, The Waterlily Project, and received a Top Five Nomination for Yorkshire Gig Guide’s Outstanding Emerging Artist in 2019.
